GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS AND MODE OF ACTION ON THE PLANT:

The vegetative and reproductive organs of Brassicaceae plants are characterised by the presence of glucosidic and glucosynolytic compounds. Glucosinolates are quickly hydrolysed in the presence of water and the endogenous enzyme myrosinase (B thioglucoside glucohydrolase EC 3.2.3.1) producing a series of secondary metabolites, mainly isothiocyanates and, to a lesser extent, nitriles, epitionitriles and thiocyanates.

 

When Nematens is used on the ground using the traditional irrigation system, the organic active principles contained in the product are released, promoting the development of micro flora useful to the soil, activating the plant and repelling the fundamentally nematode pathogenic micro-organisms.

 

Nematens is also an essential fertiliser for plants.
